After graduating from Pepperdine Law School in 1991, Brian returned to his hometown of San Diego to open his own firm. He soon found his calling in Criminal Defense and has devoted his career to defending people facing criminal charges. Brian honed his trial skills by attending numerous seminars, workshops, and trial skills academies. He has taken many cases to trial, ranging from misdemeanors—such as driving under the influence—to serious felonies—including sex crimes, drug crimes, and murder cases. He personally handles each of his cases and takes pride in obtaining the best possible results for his clients. Brian practices in both State and Federal court and has been admitted to the Federal District Court for the Southern and Central Districts of California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal, and the United States Supreme Court. Brian has been certified as a Criminal Law Specialist by the California State Bar, Board of Legal Specialization. The prestigious peer-review firm, Martindale Hubbell, has awarded Brian its highest rating: AV. Brian has also been recognized by Super Lawyers as being among the top 5% of lawyers in San Diego.
